Regardless of your opinion of the deceased Beatle, the words still ring true, because here we are in 2012. This new year has many opportunities for the student ministry. One of the things that I am looking forward to again this year is Fusion Camp. We will be heading to Highland Lakes again this summer to participate in the state’s summer camp. It will be July 9-13th. I’m sure you’re wondering why in the world I am talking about it so early in the year (and if you weren’t then you probably are now). I’m letting you all know this early because we will be doing various projects again to help offset the cost of the camp. Last year, all of the students that helped with all of the events were able to go to camp absolutely free. What an amazing blessing that was for our students! I am hoping that this year we will have even more students wanting to go and experience this wonderful time of worship, discipleship and learning about our Lord and King, Jesus. I am asking that you already begin praying for the camp; that students who need Jesus will make decisions to accept Him into their hearts and live their lives for Him every day; pray that those who already know the Lord will be strengthened in their relationship with Him; pray for the camp pastor Robert Smith; pray for all of the leaders helping with the camp; and pray for Allison Kinion as she is leading and planning this entire event. Thank you again for all of the support you have shown the student ministry and thank you in advance for the support you will show us again this year!!!
